AWS Cheat Sheet: Data Migration

This story presents key elements about the data migration on AWS.

Database Migration Service is a migration service of heterogeneous databases.

• Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) allows to convert the source database schema to a target format.
• Basic Schema Copy allows you to migrate basic elements of the schema.

Migration Hub allows to trace the progress of migration.

Server Migration Service (SMS) allows to automate the migration of a large number of servers (including databases) on-premise. It’s an enhanced version of EC2 VM Import.
